- NOTE: There is not a numerical torque figure for the Hexle. We recommend tightening the 5mm with your multi tool that you carry with you. This way you’ll be able to remove it in case of a flat out on a ride.ANOTHER NOTE: If you are looking to retrofit your non-Ibis bike with one of our Hexle’s, you’ll need to know the standard or thread pitch. For some reason, our industry has decided we need three different thread pitches for through axles:
- Syntace, Specialized and DT use 12×1.0
- Shimano is 12×1.5
- Rock shox maxle is 12×1.75
